Orange: at last, Orange Bank will be launched on 2 November.

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange Bank, the telecom operator's banking service, will finally be launched on 2 November, CEO Stéphane Richard announced on Twitter yesterday.


Mr. Richard said that the group has always wanted to make innovation accessible to all everyone.

Orange Bank intends to be an online bank, whose main channel of communication will be mobile phones, which the group has already successfully tried out in Africa. Its customer service will be available "24/7," it announced.

Analysts at Aurel BGC point out that this launch will therefore occur four months later than initially scheduled. "However, the application was not irreproachable, which had prompted the operator to delay its launch, which equates to a kind of 'bad buzz,' analysts said.
