Renault: takes stake in heycar Group

(CercleFinance.com) - Renault Group and its subsidiary RCI Bank and Services, which specialises in auto finance and services, has acquired an equity stake in Mobility Trader Holding GmbH (heycar Group) to contribute to the development of the heycar platform in Europe, and its launch in France.


Held by Volkswagen AG and Daimler at its inception, heycar is an online second-hand vehicle sales platform, launched in Germany in 2017 in cooperation with VAPS, the association of German car dealerships.

Since then, the platform has been launched in the United Kingdom (2019), then in Spain (2020), with heycar now offering close to 380,000 vehicles in approximately 5000 locations.
