Renault: sells 3.8 million vehicles in 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - Renault group announces that it sold 3,753,723 vehicles worldwide in 2019, down 3.
4% in one year (-130,550 vehicles including -183,000 on the Iranian, Argentinian and Turkish markets). However, note that the overall automobile market fell by 4.8%.

Renault maintains a market share of 4.25%. In Europe, sales rose rose by 1.3% (a fraction above the market, which rose by 1.2%). The Dacia brand recorded a new sales record there for the seventh consecutive year with 564,854 vehicles sold (+10.4%), driven by the sound performances of its Duster and Sandero models. In addition, the group's sales of electric vehicles worldwide increased by 23.5% to 62,447 vehicles.

"2020 will mark a new stage in its electric offensive with the launch of Twingo Z.E. And the deployment of its new E­Tech hybrid and plug­in hybrid offers. The attractiveness of new products to customers will enable the group to continue to improve its price positioning initiated in 2019," Renault said.
