Renault: H. Poupart-Lafarge to become Renault's new CEO?

(CercleFinance.com) - According to BFM Business, there are now three candidates to replace Thierry Bolloré as Renault's CEO.


We already knew that the Faurecia's boss, Patrick Koller, and the head of Seat, Luca De Meo, were in the running. However, the CEO of the railway equipment supplier Alstom, Henri Poupart-Lafarge, although lacking experience in the automotive sector, appears to have been approached "a few weeks ago". He is indeed interested in the job, BFM Business reports, and is backed by the French State.

Since separating from its boss Thierry Bolloré, Renault has been looking for a new CEO who is able to work hand in hand with its chairman, Jean-Dominique Senard, BFM Business says.

This subject will be on the agenda at Renault's next board meeting on Tuesday... to be watched closely.
