Renault: sales fall again in February

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday morning Renault said that in February, the number of vehicles (tourism and light utilities) sold fell by 7.
2% to 269,227 units, after a 9.9% drop in January. Its market share slipped from 4.34% to 4.14%.

Although slightly higher in Europe (+1.4% at 145,674 units) and in the Americas region (+1.7% at 30,474), sales fall in the Africa/Middle East/India area, crumbled, largely due to Iran (-36.4% to 25,602 units; -2.5% without Iran), while they dropped 9.3% in Eurasia (to 50,250), and 17% in Asia-Pacific (to 17,227).

Since the beginning of the year, the number of vehicles sold by Renault has decreased 8.5% to 529,551 units, for a market share of 3.90% (-12 basis points).
