Renault: latest news about Carlos Ghosn investigations

(CercleFinance.com) - According to the Bloomberg news agency, "in a week or so" Renault hopes to reach to the first conclusions of the internal investigation commissioned by the French car manufacturer.

The issue is whether Carlos Ghosn's remuneration - who is still the boss of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance - and that of other senior executives have been reported correctly.

Led by Eric Le Grand, Renault's former head of security, who has recently been appointed head of ethics and compliance, and Claude Baland, another group executive, the enquiry covers salaries and benefits awarded to these directors, Bloomberg reports.

Remember that Mr. Ghosn, who was arrested in Japan on 19 November, has since been detained on suspicion of under-reporting his income as chairman of Nissan. His indictment by the Japanese authorities is due to occur on Monday, Bloomberg adds, which the Japanese newspaper Nikkei corroborates.
