Société Générale: EU approves an acquisition

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the joint control of a joint venture that has been newly created by ALD, controlled by Société Générale, both based in France, and Mitsubishi, based in Japan.


The joint venture will provide multi-brand long-term leasing and fleet management services, as well as related mobility products in Malaysia. ALD provides vehicle rental and fleet management services to individuals and small, medium and large companies across 43 countries.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns given its very limited impact on the market's structure.
