Société Générale: deputy CEO Didier Valet steps down

(CercleFinance.com) - Société Générale (SG) has announced the resignation of its deputy CEO Didier Valet, as a result of a difference in the appreciation in the management of a specific legal case of the banking group, prior to his mandate.


"Didier Valet succeeded in transforming the corporate and investment banking activities, building a profitable and sustainable model," SG said, adding that his replacement will be announced shortly.

Frédéric Oudéa, SG's chairman and CEO will carry out Mr Valet's functions in the meantime. Under his authority, the new management team will continue the deployment of the strategic plan "Transform to grow" for 2018-2020.
