Dassault Systèmes: completes acquisition of Medidata

(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Systèmes has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Medidata Solutions, "whose clinical expertise and cloud-based solutions power the smarter development and commercialization of treatments".


After the rapid integration of its teams, Medidata will become one of the French group's brands on the 3DExperience platform. The life sciences industry will hence become the second largest client for Dassault Systemes.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dassault Systèmes acquired All Medidata shares in a cash transaction at a unit price of 92.25 dollars per share, meaning a total value of approximately 5.8 billion dollars.
