Eiffage: contracts for wind farms in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage, through Smulders (a Belgian subsidiary of Eiffage Métal) has signed two contracts for the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms in Germany.


The contracts were signed with Ørsted, the world's leading offshore wind farm operator in Germany.

Smulders will be responsible for the secondary structures of the foundations of the 23 wind turbines and the offshore substation for Gode Wind 3 and for the foundations of the 83 wind turbines of the offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund 3.

The Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, located in the German North Sea, will have a total capacity of 913 MW and is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

Gode Wind 3, also off the German coast, will have a total capacity of 253 MW and is expected to be commissioned in 2024.

When completed, these wind farms will produce the equivalent of the consumption of about 1.2 million homes in Germany each year.
