Eiffage: group consortium wins contract in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage has announced that, via its subsidiary Eiffage Concessions, in a 50/50 joint venture with Johann Bunte Bauunternehmung, it has won a public-private partnership contract for thirty years.


"Awarded by Autobahndirektion Nordbayern, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), the contract for the 30 years public-private partnership Biebelried-Fürth/Erlangen project, an approximatively 76 km long section of the A3 motorway in Germany," Eiffage said.

The dedicated company A3 Nordbayern GmbH & Co. KG, especially created for the project will be in charge of the design, the widening from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, the operation and maintenance as well as the partial financing of these services.

"Construction is scheduled to start May 2020 with completion of the motorway expected in November 2025. Specific phasing of the works is planned in order to reduce disturbance to the traffic during the works. The total construction volume is around E1.5 billion," Eiffage added.
