Casino: promises obtained for disposal of four shops

(CercleFinance.com) - Food retailer Casino announces that it has entered into new unilateral purchase agreements for four structurally loss-making stores, for which pledges amounting to 24 million euros have been received.


They concern the hypermarkets of Carcassonne Cité 2 and Château d'Olonne, as well as two Leader Price stores. In 2018 these stores made sales of 42 million euros for an underlying operating loss of 1.5 million euros.

These disposals are expected to be completed in the third quarter, subject to prior consultation with staff representative bodies, who were informed yesterday, Thursday 11 April, with Casino managing to obtain the usual authorisations.
