Vinci: agrees acquisition in Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci Construction says it has signed an agreement to acquire the construction companies of the family-owned Northern Group of Companies, which had consolidated sales of 93 million Canadian dollars (65 million euros) in 2020.


Specialising in roadworks and the production of asphalt and aggregates in the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia on Canada's east coast, the companies employ around 500 people at peak times.

Subject to the approval from Canadian competition authorities, this acquisition enhances Vinci Construction's presence in Canada and strengthens its position in North America, the French construction and concessions group said.
