Saint-Gobain: to complete acquisition of GCP on 27 September

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has obtained the necessary approvals from the relevant competition authorities for the acquisition of GCP Applied Technologies, the world leader in construction chemicals.

The transaction will be completed on 27 September 2022.

The group said that with approximately 1 billion dollars in sales generated in 2021, thanks to 1,800 employees operating in 50 manufacturing facilities in 38 countries, GCP Applied Technologies brings a proven global platform in cement additives, concrete admixtures, and solutions for infrastructure, commercial and residential construction.

The specialty building materials business in North America (approximately 250 million dollars in sales) will be integrated into CertainTeed's business serving local customers in its Region.

The remaining businesses, primarily concrete admixtures and cement additives (approximately 750 million dollars in sales), will be integrated into Chryso and become part of the High Performance Solutions segment.
