Saint-Gobain: to acquire Continental Building Products
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Continental Building Products for a total enterprise value of approximately 1.
4 billion dollars, in a deal that is expected to be completed in the second half of 2020. As a player in the plasterboard segment in North America, Continental Building Products has 645 employees and is expected to report sales of 510 million dollars in 2019, with adjusted EBITDA that analysts estimate at 130 million euros. "The business has strong geographic complementarity with Saint-Gobain's North American operations, good positioning in growth regions in the East and South-East of the United States and strong profitability," it said.
