Saint-Gobain: sells businesses in Scandinavia

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has said that it has sold its regional glass-making business, Glassolutions' activities in Norway and Sweden to the Swedish investment fund Mimir Invest, with these activities continuing to operate under the Glassolutions trademark, in accordance with a franchise agreement.


This business reported annual sales of about 35 million euros and employs 170 people. Saint-Gobain will remain present in the region as a supplier of flat glass, insulating glazing and high performance glass.

This disposal, whose financial terms were not specified, is part of the group's announced aim to divest businesses that represent sales of at least three billion euros by the end of 2019.
