Saint-Gobain: develops business in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has announced taking a 50% stake in a flat glass production line from the Chinese group JJG.


This company, which is located in Zibo, in the Shandong province, in northeast China, has a total production capacity of about 160,000 tonnes per year.

This operation will almost double Saint-Gobain's basic glass production in China to enhance the reliability of supply of flat glass for automotive glass plants of Sekurit.

Saint-Gobain already has a plant for flat glass with an output of 100,000 tonnes a year in Qingdao, in the Shandong province, as well as three plants that produce glass for automobiles.
