Plastic Omnium: books orders for hydrogen tanks

(CercleFinance.com) - Plastic Omnium announces that it has signed a significant order for the development of 350-bar hydrogen tanks to equip busses from a German manufacturer, to date the largest in Europe for such vehicles, the group said.


Plastic Omnium has also obtained a first certification for a 700-bar hydrogen storage tank to equip passenger cars.

The group has inaugurated two R&D centers, Deltatech in Brussels and Omegatech in Wuhan, China, where a carbon filament winding pilot line has recently been inaugurated.

In 2020, Plastic Omnium will also install a dedicated hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing line at its plant in Herentals, Belgium, which currently produces fuel tanks.
