Plastic Omnium: signs the sale of its Environment Business

(CercleFinance.com) - Along with the publication of its half-yearly figures, Plastic Omnium yesterday evening announced plans to sell its Environment Business, best-known for its waste bins.


This 'non-automobile' business had been put up for sale at the end of 2017. The financial conditions of this transaction have not been specified.
The scope comprises 1,800 staff, six factories and represents a turnover of more than 330 million euros.

A put option has been signed for this business by a consortium formed by the investment firm Latour Capital and Bpifrance, the public investment bank.
CEO Laurent Burelle estimates that the transaction, which will turn the Group into a “pure player” should be completed “in the second half of the year”.
