Veolia: agreement reached to acquire new Suez

(CercleFinance.com) - After approval by Suez's board of directors held on 21 October, “Veolia, Suez and the Consortium of investors entered into a purchase agreement with terms and conditions in line with what was announced on 29 June”.


The new Suez thus formed would have sales of nearly seven billion euros, including Suez's water and recycling-recovery activities in France, international assets, as well as global digital and environmental activities.

The acquisition is set to be completed by the end of January 2022, subject to conditions precedent set forth in the purchase agreement, including the settlement-delivery of the tender offer of Veolia for Suez shares.

In early trading Veolia shares are down about 0.3%, while Suez shares are pretty flat.
