Schneider: partners Orange to deploy 5G

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange and Schneider Electric have announced the first deployment of 5G indoor in an industrial domain in France.

Operational since March, this project, carried out at Schneider Electric's plant in Vaudreuil (Eure), aims to test the uses of 5G in a modern industrial environment in order to build reliable connectivity solutions that are adapted to the needs of the industry of the future.

"Thanks to its low latency, very high throughput and - over time - network slicing, 5G will be a competitive lever for companies, as it will bring noticeable improvement in industrial processes and working methods".

"In the Industrial sector, 5G will help synchronize in real time large amounts of data, which are key to boost performance, facilitate remote working, and ensure optimal production efficiencies".
