Dassault Aviation: first Rafale delivered to Greece

(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault today celebrated the delivery of the first Rafale to the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), the Greek Air Force, only six months after Athens signed the contract to acquire 18 Rafales.


This first aircraft - as well as the next five - will be used to train HAF pilots and technicians in France. The Rafales will then join the Greek military air base of Tanagra.

According to Dassault, this delivery is testimony to the exceptional quality of Dassault Aviation's cooperation with the Hellenic Air Force, through an uninterrupted and solid partnership that has lasted over 45 years.

In the past, Athens has already adopted the French aircraft manufacturer's Mirage F1, Mirage 2000 and Mirage 2000-5.
