Dassault Aviation: inaugurates new pyrotechnic facilities

(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Aviation announces the inauguration of its new pyrotechnic facilities at its site in Martignas-sur-Jalle (Gironde), thereby bringing together the group's pyrotechnic activities that were previously based in Argenteuil, near Paris, and Poitiers.


A 2,500 m2 tripod-shaped building is used to produce long products, the manufacture of pyromechanisms and initiators, and for study activities and test laboratories. There is also a bunker for safe storage of explosive components.

"Pyrotechnics makes a key contribution to the safety of fighter pilots. It allows instantaneous transmission of the ejection signal and ensures that the canopy shatters to allow the ejection seat to pass through," the group sqid.
