Essilor: commitment in visual health in the Commonwealth

(CercleFinance.com) - Essilor has announced an extension of its business models and charitable programs to meet the visual health needs of the 900 million people who suffer from poor and uncorrected vision in the Commonwealth.


This commitment will result in the implementation of sustainable infrastructure and the provision of free prescription glasses to 200 million people living under the poverty line, the giant of the ophthalmic glass said.

Essilor's commitment will be in partnership with the Vision Catalyst Fund, a Fund of one billion dollars that brings together public and private groups. Formed of 53 countries, the Commonwealth has 2.4 billion inhabitants.
