Thales: extends contract with SMATSA in Serbia and Montenegr

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced yesterday that it has extended its partnership with SMATSA, the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) of Serbia and Montenegro, by three years (until 2025), through the signing of a new contract for software and hardware support services.


It said that this new contract includes new functional enhancements that will improve system interoperability and provide new decision support tools for air traffic controllers.

Thales is expected to help SMATSA manage all aspects of air traffic management system life support in addition to providing new tools, which will contribute to air traffic controller (ATCO) productivity and operational safety.

In addition, improved awareness of cyber security threats will be achieved through the vulnerability management service. This solution includes monthly cybersecurity reports that will enable rapid management of any new threats, it said.
