Thales: enhanced encryption for a google suite

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Monday that it will strengthen its partnership with Google by improving the confidentiality and privacy capabilities of the integrated Google Workspace.


The French cybersecurity specialist says that the new encryption of the client side of the software suite will now enable users to regain control of their encryption keys and access security.

Thales' solutions will enable users to encrypt files and folders in Google Drive - including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides - using keys controlled within the organisation.

This comes at a time when businesses are operating in an increasingly stringent regulatory environment with the tightening of data security regulations, particularly in Europe.
