Thales: wins a key contract for Galileo

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), announced late on Thursday that it has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) on behalf of the European Commission, in the under the Horizon 2020 Satellite Navigation (HSNAV) program.


Under this new contract, Thales Alenia Space will develop and test the new Advanced ODTS solution intended to facilitate the implementation and testing of the navigation algorithms for second generation Galileo satellites.

These new orbitography algorithms will maximise the positioning performance as well as the real-time operability of the Galileo system, Thales Alenia Space said.
