Thales: develops connected sensors in consortium

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales, FCMS and Indra say they have received the go-ahead from France, Germany and Spain to develop connected sensors, designed to meet the operational challenges of the 2040s as defined by the participating nations.

These sensors will help ensure the superiority of the European NGWS/SCAF (Next Generation Weapon System) program and its ability to operate undetected.

On behalf of the three countries, the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) signed a contract with Indra, the leader of the industrial consortium, for the integration of the sensors in the contractual framework of Phase 1.

This phase, which covers the sensor design study, is scheduled to last 12 months, with a possible extension of six months if necessary.
