Thales: preparation of offer on Gemalto 'on track'

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto confirm that they are on track for the preparation of the offer, which is the first to submit a request for review and approval of the offer document to the Dutch Financial Markets Authority during the week of 29 January.


In addition, they confirm that the process for obtaining the required regulatory approvals is ongoing. It is expected that the deal will be completed shortly after Thales has obtained these authorisations, which is expected to occur in the second half of the year.

As a reminder, on 17 December 2017, both companies announced Thales' proposed public cash offer at a price of 51 euros per share, with dividend attached, on all Gemalto's shares.
