Michelin: presents airless tyres with GM

(CercleFinance.com) - At the "Movin'On" summit dedicated to sustainable mobility Michelin and General Motors presented a new generation of airless tyres for cars: the Uptis prototype of Michelin (Uptis for Unique Puncture-proof) Tire System).


Michelin and GM have announced a research partnership that will trial and test the Uptis prototype to equip cars as from 2024.

"Michelin and GM are testing the Uptis Prototype, beginning with vehicles like the Chevrolet Bolt EV. Later this year, the companies will initiate real-world testing of Uptis on a test fleet of Bolt EV vehicles in Michigan," the group said.
