Wendel: 2017 net income of 534.1 million euros

(CercleFinance.com) - Wendel's consolidated sales rose by 8.
4% to 8,329.1 million euros, with organic growth reaching 1.3%.

All Group companies contributed 703.6 million euros to net income from operations, down 2.3% relative to 2016.

This slight decrease is mainly due to changes in the group's consolidation scope (deconsolidation of Saint-Gobain following the sale of June 2017, with Allied Universal being integrated under by the equity method from August 2016), which were not fully offset by the positive contribution to IHS' recurrent earnings, the improved results of Constantia Flexibles and Bureau Veritas, the group explains.

Non-recurrent income reached 142.7 million euros in 2017, against a non-recurrent loss of 537.9 million euros in 2016.

Total net income amounted to 534.1 million euros in 2017, against a loss of 141.1 million euros in 2016. Net income, group share, was 200.0 million euros, compared with a loss of 366.8 million in 2016.
