Bic: ink spillage, despite raising FY 2022 sales forecast
(CercleFinance.com) - Disposable consumer product group Bic has published Q3 2022 sales of 580 million euros, up 10.
5% y-o-y at constant exchange rates.
Adjusted EPS fell slightly, however - from 1.28 euro to 1.14 euro in the space of twelve months.
Given the good performance in Q3, it now expects FY 2022 revenue growth of +11% to +13% at constant exchange rates (vs. previously between +10% and +12%), of which 1 to 2 percentage points will come from acquisitions, Bic said.
Over first nine months of the year, revenue increased 13.8% at constant exchange rates to 1,707.2 million euros, while adjusted EPS increased 19.2% to 4.53 euros from 3.8 euros a year earlier.
Despite these announcements, the stock is currently down 9%, the worst performer in the SBF 120 in early trading.
