Pernod Ricard: H1 2019-20 income up 1%

(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has reported H1 2019-20 net income, group share that is up 1% at 1,032 million euros, despite a sharp 8.
1% increase in underlying operating profit to 1,788 million euros (up 4.3% on an organic basis).

Sales amounted to 5,474 million euros, with organic growth of 2.7% and 5.6% nominal growth, with a dynamic performance of international strategic brands and a price effect of 2% on strategic brands.

The French wine and spirits group posted a new target for the current financial year, resulting from current COVID-19 assumptions, with organic growth in underlying operating profit of between 2% and 4%.
