AXA: wants to sell AXA Bank Belgium
(CercleFinance.com) - According to Les Echos, following different articles in the Belgian press the group wants to sell AXA Bank Belgium.
Axa has entrusted a sales mandate to BNP Paribas to carry out this disposal. The group's Belgian activity has an estimated value of between 500 million and 800 million euros, Aurel BGC says according to different sources. AXA Bank Belgium has 550 branches and 850 employees with 800,000 clients, Les Echos says. It is number five on the market market in terms of its total balance sheet (about 27 billion euros), behind BNP Paribas Fortis, ING, Belfius and KBC the paper adds.
