Bouygues: alliance with Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies

(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues Construction and Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies have announced a collaboration agreement that will initially last 30 months, to develop and test concrete formulations using cement made using new technology.


Known as H-EVA, this unique and innovative technology has a carbon footprint that is 70% to 80% lower than conventional Portland cement. Studies will make it possible to obtain certifications for the operational implementation on Bouygues Construction's sites in 2020.

"In the face of the climate emergency, the partnership constitutes a strategic alliance, the results of which will contribute to making the construction sector more responsible and more sustainable, considering the fact that cement currently accounts for 6% of greenhouse gas emissions in France," the group said.
