Bouygues: Moody's upgrades rating, but downgrades outlook

(CercleFinance.com) - Moody's Investors Service has announced upgrading its long-term issuer rating and the senior unsecured rating of the French diversified group Bouygues from “Baa1” to “A3,” although has changed its outlook from positive to stable.


"Our decision to upgrade Bouygues' ratings reflects its track record of strong operating performances and its robust credit ratios," said Vincent Gusdorf, a Vice President - Senior Analyst at Moody's and lead analyst for Bouygues.

"It also factors in our view that most of its divisions will benefit from favorable operating conditions in the next 18 months, although competition will remain fierce in the French telecom market," he added.
