AccorHotels: opens a Fairmont hotel in Austin

(CercleFinance.com) - AccorHotels has announced that its luxury brand Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is opening the Fairmont Austin in the capital of Texas this month, which is the brand's largest hotel in the US and the second largest in the world.


It has 1,048 rooms, five restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool and spa, a fitness center, nearly 13,000 m2 of event space and direct access to the Austin Convention Center.

Kevin Frid, director of North and Central America operations said that other major openings are planned over the next 18 to 24 months, including the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles and the Sofitel Mexico Reforma in Mexico City.
