L'Oréal: Q1 sales up 5.4% at E7.61bn

(CercleFinance.com) - The cosmetic giant's sales reached 7.
61 billion euros, up 5.4% at 31 March 2021 as reported. On a like-for-like basis, i.e. at an identical consolidation scope and constant exchange rates, revenue rose by 10.2%. Growth at constant exchange rates reached +11.5%.

The group posted +23.8% growth in Asia Pacific, driven by mainland China (+37.9%) and a strong recovery in North America (+6.3%) on a like-for-like basis (-1.8 % as reported).

The Professional Products Division posted 21.0% like-for-like growth (+12.9% as reported). The Consumer Division posted a slight drop of -0.7% in Q1 like-for-like (-6.2% as reported).

L'Oréal Luxe ended the quarter at +14.6% like-for-like (+12.4% as reported), clearly outperforming the market. The Active Cosmetics Division recorded growth of +28.7% like-for-like (+21.8% as reported) and continued to win significant market share.
