L'Oréal: makes first paper-based cosmetics tube

(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal has announced that it has developed the first ever paper-based cosmetics tube with Albéa, the world leader in cosmetic packaging.
It is set be available from 2020.

The group will replace the majority of the plastic currently used in its tubes with a bio-based and certified paper-like material.

Initially, the tubes will contain facial and body care products.

"L'Oréal is committed to improving the environmental or social profile of 100% of its packaging by end 2020," said Philippe Thuvien, Vice-President Packaging & Development of L'Oréal.
