TotalEnergies: partners Ørsted in Netherlands

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies today announced that it is partnering Ørsted to bid for the Holland Coast West offshore wind energy tender in the Netherlands, aiming to achieve a net positive impact on biodiversity and the Dutch energy system.


Both sites are located 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast and have a combined capacity of almost 1.5 gigawatts (GW). The winners of the tender are expected to be announced by the Dutch government this autumn.

Under the partnership, TotalEnergies will deploy its expertise in offshore operations and ensure the stability of the Dutch electricity grid, while ensuring that sustainability in all its dimensions is central in its projects and operations.
