TotalEnergies: wind farm project in Scotland

(CercleFinance.com) - The joint venture between TotalEnergies (38.
25%), Macquarie's Green Investment Group (GIG) (46.75%) and Scottish offshore wind developer RIDG (15%) has announced that it has been awarded the N1 concession to develop a 2 GW offshore wind farm in Scotland.

The project will be located 30 kilometres off the coast of the Scottish Orkney Islands and represents a potential investment of over 4 billion pounds. It is expected to start producing renewable electricity by 2030.

As part of the development, the partners will invest 140 million pounds to support the development of local supply chain capacity, including improvements to port infrastructure in Orkney and Caithness.
