Total: makes inroads in solar market in Spain

(CercleFinance.com) - Total has entered the solar market in Spain with a project portfolio of 2 GV.


The group has signed two agreements with Powertis and Solarbay Renewable Energy to develop this project.

The group will create a joint venture with Powertis for an initial project portfolio generating 800 MW. He will also acquire a 1.2 GW project portfolio from Solarbay.

The first project is scheduled to start at the end of 2020, with all projects set to be commissioned in 2023. On successful completion, Total will pay remuneration to Powertis and Solarbay.
