Air Liquide: Q3 sales almost flat on comparable basis

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide has reported Q3 2020 sales of 4.
980 million euros, with activity recovering in all geographical areas, with sales of -0.9% on a comparable basis (-8.7% as reported).

The industrial gas group also announced that efficiencies amounted to 311 million euros over the first nine months, in line with its annual target of over 400 million euros, and said that "the additional cost containment plan continued to deliver".

"In a context of limited local lockdowns and progressive recovery until the end of 2020, Air Liquide is confident in its ability to further increase its operating margin and to deliver net profit close to preceding year level, at constant exchange rates".
