JCDecaux: completes delisring of Clear Media

(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux has announced that a consortium of investors to which it belongs, through an ad hoc vehicle that is almost completely (89%) owned by the consortium, with the remaining 11% owned by Aimia, completed the acquisition the remainder of Clear Media Limited shares on 27 September.


As a result, Clear Media, whose shares were delisted from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the vehicle: JCDecaux Innovate, a 100%-subsidiary of JCDecaux, holds 23% of the consortium's capital.

This transaction is part of JCDecaux's strategy to increase its presence in China. The largest bus shelter operator in the People's Republic of China, Clear Media operated a total of over 61,000 advertising screens in 24 cities as of 30 June this year.
