JCDecaux: wins e-bike contract in Stockholm.
(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux has announced that, following a competitive tender, the city of Stockholm (950,000 inhabitants) has awarded its Swedish subsidiary the contract of self-service bike sharing, funded by advertising street furniture, starting on 1 April 2018.
The contract includes the design, installation and maintenance of 5,000 e-bikes at 300 dockless e-parking stations. These hybrid electric bikes, which are connected to a GPS, are accessible via a dedicated smartphone application.
Under this contract, the world leader in outdoor advertising will operate 280 double-sided back-lit 2m² street furniture boards and 70 86-inch digital advertising units, which will display animated advertising content.
