Safran: CFM signs USD 1 bn contract in China

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday, during an official state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to China, Colorful Guizhou Airlines has signed a 12-year contract for LEAP-1A engines, which will equip 35 Airbus A320neo, in addition to five spare engines.


The contract is estimated to be worth approximately 1 billion dollars at catalogue prices.

The group has worked with the Chinese aviation sector for almost 35 years and this new contract further strengthens our commercial relations with the country, the group said.
