Safran: CFM International agreement with Yunnan Hongtu Air

(CercleFinance.com) - The Safran group announces today that CFM International (joint venture between Safran and General Electric) has signed an agreement with the carrier Yunnan Hongtu Airlines for the purchase of CFM56-5B engines to equip three Airbus A320neo.


The airline has also signed a 12-year Rate Per Flight Hour (RPFH) agreement for 24 engines that will equip its A320neo fleet on location. CFM International will, under this contract, be assured maintenance at a rate of one dollar per flight hour. “These agreements, which also include the potential purchase of two LEAP-1A and one CFM56-5B spare engine, are valued at a total of U.S. $408 million at list price” specifies Safran.
