Safran: to equip Egyptair's new A320NEOs.

(CercleFinance.com) - Safran has announced that the national carrier Egyptair has selected the LEAP-1A engine for its new A320neo aircraft.


The company will lease 15 new Airbus A320neo that are equipped with LEAP-1A engines from CFM International from the aircraft leasing company AerCap Holdings.

Having entered commercial service in August 2016, the LEAP engine offers over 20 operators in the world a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as a significant reduction in noise levels and NOx emissions.
