TF1: gets go-ahead from authority for JV Salto

(CercleFinance.com) - TF1, M6 and France Televisions announce that their joint venture Salto will be able to start business, after being greenlighted by the CSA on 17 July, along with today's authorisation from the Competition Authority.


The launch of Salto's commercial offering is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020 and will be a major step forward for the French audiovisual sector, which is facing head-on competition from international platforms, the three groups said.

With Salto, they explain that they will combine their strengths and propose an ambitious local response to the public's new demands, while further strengthening their active participation in French and European creation.
