Derichebourg: announces finalisation of Lyrsa acquisition

(CercleFinance.com) - Derichebourg Environnement announced the finalisation of the deal to acquire Spanish metal waste recycling group Lyrsa, having met the conditions of the acquisition contract from 19 September.


The operations acquired generated 2018 revenues of 427 million euros. The business processes close to one million tonnes of metal waste, including 160,000 tonnes of non-ferrous metals and has a headcount of around 600 staff.

Lyrsa operates 18 recycling centres (17 in Spain and one in Portugal), three shredders (one jointly held with Derichebourg for 27 years), a sorting centre for metal from the shredding process, an aluminium refinery and a lead refinery.
